Charles Braley

Mr. Braley joined Golub Capital in 2025 and is a Managing Director on the Direct Lending team. He is responsible for developing and driving value-creating solutions for portfolio companies in workout situations on behalf of the Firm. Prior to joining Golub Capital, Mr. Braley was a Partner and Managing Director in the Turnaround and Restructuring group at AlixPartners, where he provided financial advisory and interim management services as part of corporate performance improvement and restructuring engagements for both private and publicly owned companies across various industries. Prior to this position, he worked at Heller Financial as a VP in the company’s direct lending group, where he was responsible for financial analysis, credit evaluation and deal structuring and for new and refinance lending transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Braley worked in Ernst & Young’s Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory Services Group where he performed detailed due diligence and quality of earnings assessments for private equity clients. Mr. Braley earned his BS in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
