Christopher Russell

Mr. Russell joined Golub Capital in 2025 and is a Managing Director on the Direct Lending team. He is responsible for managing special situation processes and investments for the Firm. Prior to joining Golub Capital, Mr. Russell was a Managing Director, Private Equity at Partners Group, where he originated and managed investments across various industry verticals, led the U.S. private equity technology unit, and was a member of several investment committees. Prior to this position, Mr. Russell was a Managing Director and Partner at VSS Capital Partners, both in New York and London, where he was responsible for originating and monitoring the firm’s private equity and structured capital investments. Prior to that, Mr. Russell worked at General Electric (NBC). Mr. Russell earned his BA degree in History from Georgetown University. He received an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia Business School.
